some words about me

I’m a french Canadian and I’ve been living most of my life in Montréal and I’m now living in Copenhagen (DK) permanently since January 2010. My 1st time was in February 2008 through an International assignment with IBM Canada when I’ve been working for 15 years. The initial adventure was supposed to be several weeks but with many extensions for a total of 18 months.

48 years old
Porto (PT) – April 1st, 2016

During the first few months of my stay in Copenhagen, I had the chance to meet Søren (the guy that I married four years later), therefore in June 2009 the contract was terminated and at the same time I was home sick and decided with IBM to return home in Canada. Few months following my return I was missing him and I decided to make the move permanently to Copenhagen (DK).

January 2010 and here I am and ready to start a new Job (my life after IBM) and a new life with Søren.

You will probably wonder how the sailing experience started, specially that I never previously sailed and never been on a sailing boat either, is in it ?

Søren was owner of a small sailing boat named Cosi and was 24′ long with two other friends where I tasted it for the first time. As soon as Cosi was incline a bit, I was scared like hell until the day we left for Bornholm during a storm (yes, during a storm, even the ferry was  not sailing that day), I will let you imagine how stress I was going and going to die that day, fortunately that little passage was the remedy to stop been scared when the boat was tipping.

From that day, I started enjoying the time we were spending on that boat until we started to talk to have our own, so we bought Njord the year of our second year of marriage.
